Love-in-a-Mist 'Midnight'

More commonly called fennel flower, for the whorl of bracts that create the 'mist' are missing in this species. 'Midnight' has large velvety purple-blue flowers with contrasting burgundy stamens, displayed on tall stems. Pair with white Nigella and snapdragons in summery cottage gardens.
